Alexis Lafrenières Breakout Season Is Hampered By Some Very Bad Luck
Alexis Lafrenière is on pace to record 47 points (20 goals, 27 assists) this season.
His career high in assists is 23 in 2022-2023, and career high in goals is 19 in 2021-2022.
He is going to break both those personal records in what has been a breakout season for him. However, the conversation of 30+ goals would be a shoe in if he could finish off some of his chances the last few weeks.
I do not blame Alexis Lafrenière one bit on this, they have faced some hot goaltenders that seem to rob him of some remarkable goals.
He is way more aggressive with the puck this season with his shots on goal at 2.63, shattering his previous best of 1.67.
Plus his offensive impact in 5v5 is remarkable.
Alexis Lafrenière will continue to grow as a player over time, and he can definitely become a force to be reckoned with.
