Laviolette Believes Injured Player Will Return At Some Point
Peter Laviolette was asked Thursday if he believes Filip Chytil will return to the Rangers this season.
"I think he's moving in the right direction. Yeah, I think he'll return (to playing)."
Thursday marked five weeks to the day since Filip Chytil sustained a suspected concussion in a first-period collision with Carolina's Jesper Fast.
It's also believed Filip Chytil has sustained three concussions prior to this incident.
Filip Chytil has yet to rejoin the team for practice, even in a non-contact jersey, but he does continue to skate on his own.
Saturday's match against the Washington Capitals will mark his 15th straight game out of the lineup.
