Laviolette Discussing Rempe Staying In The Lineup For Finale
The Rangers are gearing up for the grand finale against the Ottawa Senators!
Where the Metropolitan Division, the East Conference crown, and the President Trophy all hang on the balance of this one Rangers win!
They held practice earlier today with the lineups staying consistent to the previous game.
Jonny Brodzinski, Zac Jones and Chad Ruhwedel are all healthy scratches tonight. Head coach Peter Laviolette spoke on Matt Rempe staying in the starting lineup:
"His game last game was excellent. I know it's limited ice, and I know his role and responsibility, but they were a positive line. They put the puck behind, they were physical, they got into the offensive zone, pucks were going at the net."
Asked if he's seen enough of Rempe to think he can be effective in a playoff game:
"To answer your question, yeah, I do think he's ready for playoff games."
Why not? Rangers are 8-0-0 whenever Rempe plays and he registers zero penalty minutes.
Let's get the win tonight!
