New York Rangers forward Filip Chytil finally addresses the media regarding his mysterious injury

New York Rangers forward Filip Chytil opens up to the media regarding his mysterious upper-body injury that he sustained back on January 7th as the Rangers faced off against the Dallas Stars.

Over half-way through the game Filip Chytil was forced to leave the leave the game with four minutes remaining in the second period, as was sidelined due to an upper-body injury.

Thankfully it doesn't seem to be too serious as Filip Chytil joined the New York Rangers on their 3-game road trip, in hopes of being able to join the team during games, but unfortunately Chytil has missed the first game of the road trip when the Rangers took a 2-1 victory over the Golden Knights.

However, on Monday afternoon the Rangers hit the ice for their practice before Tuesday nights game against the Colorado Avalanche and both Filip Chytil and Chris Kreider made an appearance and practice with the team.

Following the Practice Filip Chytil was faced with the media and gave a quick and brief update on his condition, as he says he'll reveal more on a later date:

Filip Chytil didn't delve into specifics on his injury but said it was not concussion related. He said it's a bit more complicated than that and said he will talk more about it on a later date.

Spoke to Filip Chytil, who said he's feeling good but wouldn't say if he's playing tomorrow.

On if it's concussion related, No. 72 said no, «it's more complicated than that.» He reiterated that he'd be willing to sit and talk about it in the future.

So as of now, both Filip Chytil's and Chris Kreider's status for Tuesday nights game against the Colorado Avalanche still remains unknown.

Along with Chytil's short answer, head coach Peter Laviolette offered no insight on the situation.
