The New York Rangers have received some relatively good news regarding superstar forward Artemi Panarin's upper-body injury as the team hit the ice for their practice.

Earlier today as the New York Rangers hit the ice for their practice skate as they prepare for their 8:00PM game tonight against the Nashville Predators, they received some relatively good news.

Rangers star forward Artemi Panarin has recently been sidelined with an upper-body injury just moments before the Rangers last game against the St. Louis Blues on Sunday and was labeled as day-to-day.

UPDATE: Artemi Panarin (upper body, day-to-day) will not play tonight.

However, the good news is that on Tuesday afternoon star forward Artemi Panarin returned to the New York Rangers practice.

But like I said in the beginning this is only relatively good news due to the fact that it's likely Panarin is not ready to return to the Rangers lineup tonight as he is not practicing with the group.

Along with that, another indication that Panarin won't be playing, is that the Rangers are running their first power play unit without him.

Panarin is skating this morning, but he's off to the side during power play work. PP1 features Fox, Zibanejad, Trocheck, Laf and Kreider.

Not a great sign for his status tonight... #NYR

Definitely a good sign to see the star forward return to the ice and to be travelling with the team on this road trip, hopefully he will return for their next game against the Dallas Stars.
