New York Rangers superstar is off to a tremendous start to the season and is on track to be a candidate for winning the Hart Trophy already.
Just last season
Artemi Panarin recorded 49 goals and 71 assists for a total of 120 points, and this year Panarin already has four points just after the first two games of the 2024-25 season.
During the New York Rangers home opener on Saturday night, the 33-year old was on fire, as he was constantly making plays and was showing off his impressive moves.
With that being said, the Breadman found the back of the net twice against the Utah Hockey Club, with both goals being an absolute beauty.
Panarin's first goal of the night:
Rangers head coach Peter Laviolette has even been impressed with Panarin's recent performances over the last two games.
«They've been good, they've been dangerous,» Laviolette said of Panarin's performance through two games. «Offensively, he's been generating great looks, been generating good offensive.»
If Panarin continues to put up points for the Rangers, there is no doubt that he will reach 100+ points once again and maybe record a new career high in points, as he plays alongside Alexis Lafreniere making them arguably the most dangerous duo throughout the National Hockey League.
The Hart Trophy is an award that Panarin has always been chasing and has come close to winning, but unfortunately has never achieved the goal of actually winning it. However, this could certainly be the year he does.
