New York Rangers veteran hints at the possibility of retiring after being eliminated from the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Rangers Veteran Blake Wheeler has hinted that this will be his last season in the NHL after being eliminated by the Florida Panthers in game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

Blake Wheeler has faced many ups and downs throughout his career, and was just recently sidelined for half of the Rangers season after suffering a brutal leg injury against the Montreal Canadiens.

On a positive note he managed to make a return during game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals and faced another disappointing defeat as the Rangers were eliminated just two games later.

However, today when he was faced with the media he was asked about the possibility of returning next season, and he didn't seem too keen on making a return due to his age and wanting to spend more time with his family.

Here is what he had to say:

Blake Wheeler isn't sure if he's going to play next season. Talked about his kids being at an age where he'd like to be around. Said he's going to take time to talk things through with his wife. No decision yet. #NYR

As of right now obviously nothing is confirmed, but once a final decision is made we will be sure to keep you updated.
