JT Miller's recent tenure in Vancouver has been wrought with elite seasons of play, and this season the player stepping back for personal reasons.
Now with news of confrontations between himself, and Elias Pettersson there could be a dynamic that GM Chris Drury could take advantage of to bring him back to New York.
At least that's how Paul Bissonnette of the Spittin' Chiclets Podcast thinks about the scenario. As the Rangers have already called on the Canucks once in November to check in on Miller's availability.
Bissonnette whose been proven right, in recent times with the Mike Babcock situation has tapped into his sources to provide an update on the situation.
With news that Rick Tocchet has separated the pair on the power play gives rise to speculation that all is not well in Vancouver between the two.
With pointed comments to reporters by Elias Pettersson in the media, and Rick Tocchet weighing in on the matter you have to wonder if the relationship between two of the Canucks best players is fractured.
This could set GM Patrik Allvin up for failure, as he could move JT Miller or decide to keep the core as it is in hopes of making a run at the Stanley Cup in 2025.
Moving Pettersson would prove difficult as he has a no-move clause kicks in this summer, so a deal would have to be made soon. And trading Miller would have to involve him approving the trade beforehand.
GM Chris Drury could stand to profit handsomely if he could convince JT Miller to return to New York and continue his elite play in Madison Square Garden.
But the question is, who would he have to give up?
