Mika Zibanejad, and the final seconds of the game, where it appears he was interfered and the refs clearly missed it.
The issue stems with the fact that Mika Zibanejad did not get back on defense to help with stopping what ended up being the game-winning goal seconds afterwards, and that he was complaining to the refs.
While everything said is true, that should have been called for interference, the game shouldn't have gotten to this point.
The Rangers were up 2-0 and had control for the first half of the game, until they Let up two goals in 2:04. 14 of our 18 losses (78%, 1st in NHL) our opponent has scored 2 goals within 4 mins. 19 of our 47 overall games (40%, 7th in NHL) our opponent has scored 2 goals within 4 mins.
I get it. It's a bad missed call. But as a team, if you're relying on the refs to bail you out in a game that you led 2-0 heading into the third period against the worst team in the NHL, you have much bigger issues than a missed call.
This is a totally different team than the one that played in October and November, and they have massive problems.
