Rangers And Knicks Accomplish A Feat Last Seen 30 Years Ago
It's a great year to be a New York sports fan!
Both the Knicks and the Rangers are among the best teams in their respective sports.
It's historic considering it doesn't happen often when both are great, usually it's one team or the other.
It's the first time both teams have ended their seasons with 50+ wins in 30 years after the Knicks 120-119 win over the Chicago Bulls earlier today to clinch their 50th win of the season and the No. 2 seed in the East!
Meanwhile the Rangers are aiming to clinch the President Trophy for best record in the whole league tomorrow against the Ottawa Senators.
Last time both these two teams were in this situation, they both went to their respective championship series in the 1993-1994 seasons.
The Rangers beat the Vancouver Canucks in seven games to win their fourth Stanley Cup.
Unfortunately the Knicks did not have the same fortunes, losing to the Houston Rockets in seven games in the NBA Finals.
Let's hope history repeats itself, as we see these two historic franchises achieve immortality!
