Rangers top prospect shows gratitude towards organization
It was quite apparent that general manager Chris Drury had no desire to trade his two best players in his prospect pool who were Gabe Perreault and Brennan Othmann.
The Rangers feel that they would be better off keeping these prospects rather than trading them for players that may make them marginally better considering the team is already well-rounded.
Brennan Othmann, spoke out since the deadline has passed and gave the organization a glowing review while showing tremendous gratitude.
The 21 year old left winger was selected by the Rangers in the 2021 entry draft, in the first round, 16th overall.
According to eliteprospects.com, Brennan Othmann takes charge in the offensive zone while enjoying the breakout with the puck using his speed and his hockey IQ to give the offense the best chance to score.
During this past season with the Hartford Wolfpack, he has played 55 games, scored sixteen goals with 26 assists for 42 points along with 50 penalty minutes.
Of course, he has more work to do as he continues to grow as a player but it's highly expected, but he will be on the Rangers squad within the next two seasons.
