Last night the New York Rangers game had a record-setting moment, by forwards Adam Edstrom, and Matt Rempe. The "Rempire State Building" delivered a goal, and an assist in the Rangers shutout of Ottawa last night. While it wasn't the goal and assist itself that set the record, it was the size of both forwards that set it.

The New York Rangers shut out the Ottawa Senators last night, in a 5-0 route which saw Matt Rempe, and Adam Edstrom use their size to create offense.

While typically, they're both bruising forwards who aren't afraid of getting dirty or dropping the gloves, they used their size to drive offense.

The duo set a record of the tallest goal scorer, and primary assister last night.

Rempe scored his first goal of the season last night against the Senators after Adam Edstrom connected on a perfect pass in the offensive zone.

Fans at Madison Square Garden erupted for the fan favorite and chants of 'Rempe, Rempe' rang loud across the world's most famous arena.

It's been a difficult season for Rempe who has had to brush up his game in the AHL. He'd spend the offseason brushing up his game and working on becoming a power forward instead of just another Goon.

As many NHL fans, and pundits still use in reference to the towering Rempe he's worked to brush off that stereotype this season.

And it looks like last night that Rempe could find his way into the discussion as a legitimate power forward if he continues to play the game as he is.

While he's never been known as a goal-scorer, he could continue to work on his game year-by-year and reach the goal of being a third-line power-forward for the Rangers.

This could give the team needed depth when it counts the most, along with muscle in the playoffs.

Matt Rempe has played 12 games this season for the Rangers and scored 2 points( 1 G, 1 A) with a +3.
