Three unexpected teams emerge early as potential suitors to acquire New York Rangers veteran forward Chris Kreider.

On Monday morning NHL Insider Elliotte Friedman released that the New York Rangers are ready to shake up their roster and make some drastic changes.

In the aftermath of their 6-2 loss in Edmonton on Saturday, the Rangers have made it very clear they are interested in making moves and shaking up their roster.

Among the names indicated are Chris Kreider and Jacob Trouba, although other options will be considered.

As this report was made many were shocked to see Chris Kreiders name on the trade block alongside Jacob Trouba.

The 13-year Rangers veteran has been off to slow start as he only has nine goals and zero assists through 19 games played.

However, Chris Kreider still has another two years of his contract after this year and carries a cap hit of $6.5 million.

Despite that many teams could definitely use a nine-time 20-goal score, and here are the three top potential destinations that have emerged as Frontrunners.

Boston Bruins

The Bruins make sense considering Kreider was born in Boston suburb Boxford, and returning to his hometown could rejuvenate the veteran.

As for the Bruins, they are desperately looking to gain some momentum and scoring changes as they are currently in 9th place in the Eastern Conference.

With Kreiders ability to score goals from in front of the net would greatly help them. But the Bruins would need to overcome their biggest obstacle, and that would be their cap situation.

Utah Hockey Club

The Utah Hockey Club could benefit from adding a veteran with great experience like Kreider.

However it was noted by Joey Yerdon of Bleacher Report, while adding Kreider to their roster would a great move only if the veteran doesn't have them on his 15-team no-trade list.

Along with that, he would have to be willing to go somewhere that is nowhere close to contending for the Stanley Cup.

Utah also has the cap space to make it work.

Buffalo Sabres

Finally the Buffalo Sabres, a team that's is desperately looking for a top-six forward, and as stated by Yerdon,

"If you had to draw up the kind of top-six forward the Buffalo Sabres are on the lookout for that fits the profile for the qualities they'd be looking for, that player would look a lot like Chris Kreider."

Following his statement, the Sabres have the cap space to take on his salary.

What team do you think would be the best fit for Chris Kreider? Let us know in the poll down below and stay turned to NY Rangers Insider for the latest news and updates on the New York Ranger.
