The New York Rangers have advertised that they are open and ready to do business. With a recent 2-2-0 record in the Western Conference, following a slump early in the season GM Chris Drury has made two Rangers players available.

According to NHL Insider Elliotte Friedman, the team is interested in moving veterans Chris Kreider and Jacob Trouba.

These are the two names to pop up for potential moves, and it's difficult to tell what will happen now, given Trouba's ability to nix moves by the team.

According to USA Today's Vince Mercogliano, there's unrest in the organization. How much of it is GM Chris Drury to blame for?

«There is definite unrest in #NYR org right now, with concerns from the top about this core plateauing and increasing unease from players/employees,» Mercogliano wrote via X. «But sources also reminded how rare/difficult big deals are this time of year.»

The team's currently 12-6-1, and in their present form don't look like the team from 2023-2024 which won the President's Trophy. So it appears Chris Drury is going back to the drawing board.

It's caused a decline in confidence in New York Rangers management, and GM Chris Drury has turned on the neon sign outside of Madison Square Garden: "Ready to Deal".

Mercogliano wrote that Rangers general manager Chris Drury sent a message to all NHL general managers following New York's 6-2 loss on Saturday night to the Edmonton Oilers that he is open for business and motivated to shakeup the team's core.

This could be troubling, as again Trouba has a no-trade clause and his contract is hefty to say the least, making $8 Million AAV, he'd have to retain a percentage of his salary to make it work.

While Kreider would be on many GM's wishlists, who would be interested in him? There's been talk that the Boston Bruins could be, but that's speculation so far and nothing confirmed.
