Canucks general manager Patrik Allvin and President Jim Rutherford have never been shy to making big splashes when it comes to trades.
It appears however, that Allvin sees a big opportunity to land a star player like Kreider who would augment the Vancouver offence significantly and help fill the gap with JT Miller absent.
The Rangers had been busy yesterday when they traded defenseman and their captain Jacob Trouba to the Anaheim Ducks for a defenseman and a fourth-round draft pick in 2025.
General manager Chris Drury has been eager to make changes to his roster as the team has faltered over the course of this season.
Many feel including The Mug that the Vancouver Canucks maybe on Kreider no trade list as he holds a modified no trade clause for his contract.
All these reports were stemmed because the Rangers allowed Kreider's name along with Trouba to be leaked as both players are available to swap.
Some also feel that these trade rumors are in effort to spark Kreider's game along with the rest of the Rangers.
The Rangers did important business yesterday as they also signed it Igor sister can to his long-term extension which will now be behind them as the season progresses.
It was also clear during the summer that Drury wanted to move Trouba at the time and was unable to make a trade work in his favor.
It remains to be seen on whether another deal will come down the Pike and that Kreider will be the next one to fall but in the meantime the Rangers need to get back to work and figure out a way to win more hockey games and stay in the Regular season battle.
