New upcoming three-on-three pro hockey league set to steal multiple NHL players.

Over the past few weeks, it has been confirmed that a new hockey league is coming to North America this fall. The Major Hockey League is what the name of the league will be, which will only feature three-on-three play.

The game of featured 2 periods, with 24 minutes in each period and one intermission in between.
Now Elliotte Friedman has dropped a report on when the details will be coming out:

The games will feature 2, 24 minute periods with only one intermission in between. NHL insider Elliotte Friedman has now released a report on when more details will be announced:

«I do expect some kind of announcement during the Stanley Cup Final about this, a revelation as to exactly what this is, what the goals are and what they are trying to do,» Friedman said. «I think the picture is going to become a bit more clear some time during the Cup Final.»

Each team will apparently have $30 million dollars in salary cap, and have the opportunity to earn $100,000 win bonus for each game.

«I think a bunch of players have reached out and are curious about it If there's a chance to play hockey for legitimate money, people are going to be interested,» Friedman said.

Friedman then dropped a bomb, as he believes Phil Kessel would automatically earn a roster spot in the new three-on-three league.

«It's true that the league would make a great marketing coup.»

After failing to earn a contract after a professional tryout with the Vancouver Canucks, this seems like the perfect opportunity for Phil Kessel to keep his career alive.
