Former Rangers forward John Scott was well known for his entry into the All-Star game by the fans rather than what he did on the score sheet.
Since his retirement from the league, he has his own podcast called Dropping the Gloves and during yesterday's show they discussed the imminent demise of the Rangers bitter rival the Pittsburgh Penguins.
It's becoming clear that President and General Manager Kyle Dubas made some mistakes in his early time as the new boss as he added Erik Karlsson to the team who has not helped their beleaguered power play and their overall offensive game.
John Scott, goes over those points with his Co host as he shows the team is destined for a full rebuild.
But the Penguins well below the playoff threshold, and an aging team that has zero cap space and little in the cupboards for prospects and draft picks it seems that Dubas will need to pull this team part and try to recoup as much as he can to put the Penguins back on track.
Having learned how to do this with former general manager Lou Lamoriello in Toronto, it remains to be seen on whether Dubas will follow through or continue to watch his team crumble into dust.
