As the NHL season begins to wrap up, the college ranks have begun announcing their nominations for their trophies.

The talent pool in the college teams has been outstanding this year and the Rangers have one of the best players in Gabe Perreault.

One of the most prestigious awards for a player is the Hobey Baker award and as the announcement was made a glaring omission was noticed where Gabe Perreault was not announced as a nominee.
The 18-year-old right winger was selected by the Rangers in the 2023 entry draft in the first round, 23rd overall.
His season with Boston College has been outstanding as he had played thirty games, scoring 15 goals with 35 assists for 50 points and was a + 20.
Unfortunately, he sustained an injury which stifled his season as it was announced he has an upper body injury.
I hate the fact he was not at least nominated for the award considering how great his season has been.
Boston College has a powerhouse of a team, and it remains to be seen on whether he will remain with the score or decide to make the jump into the NHL.
With the Rangers playing well and a contender for the Stanley Cup, it may be wise for him to remain another year while he continues to develop and grow.
