It's been 30 years this year since the New York Rangers lifted the Stanley Cup and the stories continue to filter out from former players.

Former Rangers goaltender Glenn Healy sat down with the Spitting Chiclets podcast and told a story that everyone's jaw dropped.

He told them that former Ranger Nick Kypreos and himself lost the Stanley Cup.

It's clear that 30 years ago the security of the Stanley Cup was not as tight as it is today where they have several people who worked around the clock maintaining and transporting the trophy from city to city when it's awarded.

What adds even more flavor to the story is the facial expressions that Healy shows when he realised that he lost the Stanley Cup.

As he states, the cup was found with hundreds of people when an Irishman took it to his home and started a party.

Certainly, that will be a story to remember for decades to come.
