Game Announcer Grills Shesterkin In A Way That Will Make You Feel Sad
The Rangers lost 5-2 to the Vegas Golden Knights.
Another poor showing from the Rangers.
As if another loss to what has been mounting to being a horrendous start to the 2024 season wasn't bad enough, one of the game announcers of last night, gives a horrific stat of Igor Shesterkin.
Take a listen:
With a save percentage of .870 in the month of January he has the lowest save percentage of all 41 goalies who have played at least five games this month.
Shesterkin stopped only 15 of 19 shots faced, with his season save percentage now down to .899.
Let's not split hairs, there are significant problems all throughout the team right now, especially on the defensive end. Shesterkin is just part of the greater problem.
The team is now 4-7-2 in the month of January, and 11-12-2 in their last 25 games, losing their lead in the Metropolitan Division with the Carolina Hurricanes now having a game in hand over the Rangers.
