Jack Roslovic Ecstatic For His First Stanley Cup Goal Last Night
The Rangers are only the fourth team in NHL history to have eight different goal-scorers through their first two play-off games.
The 1982 LA Kings, 1985 Chicago Black Hawks and 1987 Edmonton Oilers are the other three. The Rangers also scored multiple power-play goals and a shorthanded goal in a playoff game for the first time since Game 2 of the 1995 Conference Quarter Finals.
One of the goal scorers, Jack Roslovic, talks about scoring his first-career playoff goal in the Rangers win last night:
"It's good to always chip in"
He also added about getting to play in the Stanley Cup Playoffs again:
"It's amazing. It's what everybody wants to play for."
Shockingly, he didn't finish with that much playing time, only 9:33 time on ice. Head coach Peter Laviolette sheds some light on why:
"That shouldn't be a reflection that there's not confidence in how he plays the game or what he's able to contribute I think he's played fine"
Roslovic will have a chance to shine more on Friday for Game 3, at Washington D.C.
