Laviolette Addresses The Reason The Playoffs Started So Well
The Rangers erased an early deficit in a 4-3 win over the Washington Capitals in Game 2 last night. Whether it's even strength or special teams, the Rangers have clearly been the better team through the first two games of this first-round playoff series.
Head coach Peter Laviolette talks about the impact of Mika Zibanejad and Vincent Trocheck in the playoffs:
"I think they've been there all year."
Zibanejad and Trocheck have been incredible the last couple of games! Each player registering a goal and two assists, with the latter winning 71.1 percent of the face-offs!
Laviolette also talks about the depth of the Rangers and how it has helped them over the course of the season and so far in the playoffs:
"It's good to have that depth."
The Rangers travel to Washington D.C. for Game 3, looking for a 3-0 series lead.
