GM Chris Drury is hitting the panic button, as trade talks intensify throughout the league. By now, Chris Kreider and Jacob Trouba have to sit with the fact, they're now on the block, whether they like it or not.

In an apparent effort for Drury to make significant moves to improve the Rangers standings, he may have fallen flat.

He made a call to the Vancouver Canucks and GM Patrik Allvin in order to see if former Rangers forward J.T. Miller was available.

Miller recently left the lineup due to personal reasons and isn't on the Canucks regular roster.

Miller to Take Indefinite Leave for Personal Reasons. Vancouver, B.C. - Vancouver Canucks General Manager Patrik Allvin announced today that Forward J.T. Miller will be taking an indefinite leave of absence from the team for personal reasons. «Right now, our sole focus is making sure that J.T.

With Miller out, maybe Drury thought he could pull a fast one on the Canucks who have benefitted from the former Rangers forward.

In 2023-2024 the forward posted 103 points(37 G, 66 A) with a hot Canucks team under the leadership of Rick Tocchet.

According to NHL Insider Rick Dhaliwal, the Canucks have no interest in moving the forward.

Now, it seems GM Chris Drury is back to square one, as deals aren't coming in for Jacoba Trouba or Chris Kreider just yet.

The Rangers continue to try and hang on for dear life, as they are 4th in the Metropolitan Division.

The Rangers have been a disappointment this season, and none of Drury's acquisitions during the offseason have panned out.

Could this be a sign of things to come? Or is Drury secretly working the phones to make big moves in March?

Either way, Drury isn't looking good here either.
