Peter Laviolette Gets Serious On Shesterkin's Recent Performance
The Rangers won big yesterday! 5-2 over the Seattle Kraken for their second straight game!
A big reason why?
Igor Shesterkin! Stopping 28 of 30 shots for a .933 save percentage.
Peter Laviolette on how Shesterkin has looked of late:
"When we keep players in front of him, it's a better night for our goaltenders. He seems dialed in right now and that's a good thing for us"
Blake Wheeler, who contributed two goals in the win, also gives some high praise to Shesterkin.
"You hate to have to rely on him to make the amount of quality saves he made... fortunately for us, that's why he's world class. He made a bunch of big ones for us tonight."
It's been a down year for Igor Shesterkin this season.
Hopefully we can see him really heat up!
