It's been a rollercoaster week for Rangers forward rookie Matt Rempe as he has taken the NHL by storm and showcased his fighting ability as he has taken on several prominent NHL fighters as he establishes himself as an NHler.

Head coach Peter Laviolette spoke to the media after their loss after snapping their ten game-winning streak on how he is managing Matt Rempe and what he brings to the organization.

Many pundits across the league and fans have begun to worry about the amount of fighting he has been doing and has progressively looked more precarious at the end of each one.

It seems that Peter Laviolette isn't concerned about his prized rookie as he brings an energy and help solidify his line while learning how to be in the league and understanding what he needs to do.

The 21 year old, who was drafted by the Rangers in 2020, in the sixth round 165th overall has played five NHL games so far. He's had one goal and one assist for two points and is a + 2.

The statistics that everyone is pointing to is the fact that he has 32 penalty minutes in five games of play pit of course the bulk of those minutes are fighting majors.

I would expect management and the coaching staff to be sure that Rempe is not seriously injured during his skirmish is and with several prominent teams on the horizon, it's likely their heavyweights would like to fight him as well.
