As the trade deadline is less than one month away, the Rangers management and coaching staff continue to evaluate their team and assess the needs that could be augmented with a trade.
It seems that they are satisfied with their goalie tandem in Igor Shesterkin and Jonathan Quick.
As Shesterkin has had a tough stretch with inconsistent play after a tremendous start to the season, head coach Peter Laviolette has had the depth in quick to rely on as Shesterkin and gets his game back.
This was evident last night when the Rangers took on the Tampa Bay Lightning where they won the game 3-1.
During the after game press conference, Peter Laviolette explained how he felt having the depth in goal.
The needs of the Rangers are more pressing at the centre position along with depth scoring in the bottom 6.
If both goalies can stand their ground and give the Rangers a chance to win every night it will give management a chance to resolve those issues and help the team solidify a playoff spot and go down a long playoff run.
