New York Rangers rookie forward Brett Berard has scored an absolute beauty for his first ever goal on home ice at Madison Square Garden.

The New York Rangers have managed to pull off a much needed 2-1 victory over the Boston Bruins on Thursday night for their first game in 2025.

All thanks to the goal scorers, Mika Zibanejad and the man who netted his first ever goal at Madison Square Garden, Brett Berard.

Here's a look at Mika Zibanejad's goal, which happened to be his 700th career point:

The goal we're focusing on is the beauty that rookie forward Brett Berard scored, after the Rangers cleared the puck from their zone which created an 2-on-1 rush as Berard and Cuylle rushed down the ice.

Ultimately leaving Berard with a critical decision to make, pass the puck or take the shot. Thankfully he had enough confidence to take the shot and net the game winning goal.

Brett Berard scored his first ever NHL goal back in November 27th as the Rangers faced off against the Carolina Hurricanes.

Just this season the 22-year old forward has only played in 15 games for the New York Rangers and has managed to tally 3 assists and 2 goals for a total of 5 points, while averaging 11:36 mins a game.
