The Rangers ended up defeating the San Jose Sharks 3-2 last night as Igor Shesterkin and his team continues to roll on and continues to pile up the wins. This win was overshadowed after Ranger's center Filip Chytil had left the game due to injury after colliding with his defencemen K'Andre Miller.
He was ruled to have an upper body injury and head coach Peter Laviolette has deemed him day-to-day.
After he left the game Laviolette was forced to change his lines to make up the difference and then I'll begin to pay off as the Rangers began to pull away and take a 3-1 lead. The goal scores for the Rangers or Jimmy Vesey, Vincent Trocheck and Mika Zibanejad.
After last evening's game, the Rangers have played 15 games and have a record of 10-4-1 for 21 points and sit third in the metropolitan division. The Rangers will be heading to a four-game road trip which would bode well for the team as their current road record is 5-1-0. The Rangers have seemed to resolve some of their issues as for the past couple of weeks the team had struggled with being badly outshot and badly outplayed.
The Rangers fans showed love towards former Rangers forward Barclay Goodrow as he received a standing ovation during a first period TV timeout if he had played three seasons for the organization and had six power play playoff goals last year.
The Rangers will begin their road trip on Sunday November 17th as they will take on the Seattle Kraken at climate pledge arena. Afterwards, they will head to the three Canadian western teams as they face off against the Vancouver Canucks on Tuesday November 19th, the flames on Thursday November 21st and the Oilers on November 23rd.
