The New York Rangers will take on the Washington Capitals tonight in a Metropolitan Division battle that will excite everyone. Tonight we will get to see new defenseman Calvin DeHaan in the lineup.

Tonight should be a game that exudes playoff atmosphere, as the New York Rangers will be facing off against their Metropolitan Division rivals the Washington Capitals.
Not only is the Gr8 chase ongoing, but playoffs are on the horizon and the Rangers will need to shut down Alex Ovechkin, and his starring cast if they're to stand a chance against one of the best teams in the East.
The Washington Capitals under Head Coach Spencer Carberry have turned themselves from underdogs into top dogs, with a record of 39-14-8.
Peter Laviolette will have to utilize players like Calvin DeHaan, Juuso Parssinen, and Brett Berard to mount a defense.

Healthy scratches tonight are: Arthur Kaliyev, Reilly Smith, and Matthew Robertson.
The injured list is growing with: Chris Kreider, Adam Fox, and Adam Edstrom.
The Rangers need to win the next stretch of games if they're even thinking of holding their wild-card spot in the playoffs.
The team is currently 5th in the Metropolitan Division with a record of 31-26-4 under Head Coach Peter Laviolette.
Smith is out of the lineup due to roster management, and could be a trade chip in the future.
Nothing confirmed yet.
