An unfortunate update has been provided on New York Rangers veteran forward Chris Kreider as he's still dealing with an upper-body injury.

New York Rangers veteran forward Chris Kreider has suffered an upper-body injury, which has resulted in him to consecutively miss the Rangers last five games, and is likely to miss his sixth as the Rangers take on the Washington Capitals tonight.
However, the New York Rangers organization just recently announced that Chris Kreider was placed on Injured Reserve with an upper-body injury.
#NYR Chris Kreider (upper body) is going on IR, but he can be activated at any time.

There was no setback, he's just taking longer to heal than expected. Word is it isn't the back injury from earlier this season.
Definitely an unfortunate situation for the veteran forward and the New York Rangers, but it doesn't end there as more reports indicate he continue to miss more time, which is now starting to raise concerns.

Latest update on New York Rangers veteran Chris Kreider and his ongoing injury

It was revealed on Wednesday morning that the New York Rangers veteran forward Chris Kreider is likely to miss his sixth consecutive game due to his upper-body injury.
As the Rangers hit the ice for their morning practice before tonight's game, Kreider was seen skating on his own and was not taking rushes on the power play units.
Power play work indicates Kreider won't play for the sixth straight game.

Along with all this, Kreider has been surrounded in a lot of trade speculation since his injury so it will be interesting to see what Chris Drury and the Rangers will do before the NHL Trade Deadline expires.
