tells 102.5 The Game that Juuse Saros' agent could prefer to wait until Igor Shesterkin signs his next deal before Saros signs an extension with the #Preds

Shesterkin put the Rangers on his back and carried them as far as he could and had no luck unfortunately.

The 2022 Vezina Trophy winner played a tough 16-game stretch, with a 10-5-1 record, 2.28 GAA, and a .927 save percentage.

He stepped up his performance from the regular season, with a 36-17-2 record, 2.56 GAA and .913 save percentage.

Shesterkin is due a contract extension in 2024-2025 and it will be huge, according to the asking price.

As, Shesterkin's camp is asking in range of $12 Million AAV a year, which of course would reset the market.

This is exactly why Saros' agent will wait till Shesterkin gets the deal done, before negotiating himself out of more money.

Shesterkin is not only a top goalie, he's a Vezina Trophy winner, and someone who has the skill enough to demand a great raise.

His last contract ending in 2024-2025 pays him $5.6 M AAV per year, totaling $22.6 M overall, according to CapFriendly.
