Yesterday, the 5-2 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins snapped a five-game winning streak for the Rangers which holds onto a three-point lead for the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference and first place in the Metropolitan Division with the Boston Bruins and Carolina Hurricanes having the night off.
The Rangers still control their own destiny for not only the No. 1 seed in the East, but the President Trophy for the whole league.

The Rangers are 21-6-1 since the all-star break, and they had to overcome several injury obstacles during that stretch.
