The Rangers Achieved Franchise History! Now The Real Season Begins!
The New York Rangers are the President Trophy winners of the 2023-2024 season!
They clinched the Metropolitan Division, and the Eastern Conference all in the 4-0 shutout win over the Ottawa Senators!
This is the Rangers fourth President Trophy.
Also the Rangers broke the franchise record for most wins in a season with 55 wins, and the most points with 114, surpassing both marks from the 2014-2015 season of 113 points and 53 wins.
The real season begins Sunday for the Rangers, as they await who their first round opponent with be.
The Washington Capitals, the Pittsburgh Penguins, Detroit Red Wings, and the Philadelphia Flyers are all still mathematically alive for the final playoff spot.
