The New York Rangers fell just short in the playoffs this year, being eliminated by the Florida Panthers in the Eastern Conference Finals.

GM Chris Drury said that there's nothing off the table, and with a former Ranger available in Free Agency, why not go back after him?

Former Ranger Patrick Kane is hitting the market this offseason. He was sent to New York from the Chicago Blackhakws in a trade that involved a second round pick going back to the Hawks and a couple other variables.

Kane is 35 years old and is considered to be the best American born hockey player of all time.

He's best known for his three Stanley Cups with the Blackhawks. In his time with the Rangers, Kane had five goals and seven assists, tallying up to 12 points in 19 games.
Patrick showed up in the playoffs as well, having a goal and five assists in seven games.

Last season he performed even better with the Detroit Red Wings, tallying 47 points in 50 games.

With Blackhawks GM Kyle Davidson labeling off a return in the future, could Kane make a return to the Big Apple?
