It's an unthinkable thought that there's a possibility that Sidney Crosby Pens legend and current superstar could be on his way out of the organization at this year's trade deadline.

This kind of talk has been growing across the league as the Penguins appears to be falling out of favour of making the playoffs this year and Crosby is having one of his best seasons in his career.
During an interview with TSN's Jay Onright, OverDrive host Brian Hayes explains how he feels about Crosby and why it's important that he find a new home and continue his quest for more Stanley Cups before retiring.
Trading a player of his caliber would be a daunting task.
It would take general manager Kyle Dubas the courage to ask Crosby to waive his no move clause and send him to a team of his choosing.
The return value for Crosby would be enormous and as the Penguins are desperate for prospects, picks and young players this kind of move would send shockwaves throughout the league.
In the Rangers case, landing a player of his level would be franchise altering.
Certainly, the Rangers feel that they are close to making a run for the Cup and adding a player like Crosby would just take the whole team to a new level.
He would give the team a new look offensively and give the power play the largest boost in history.
It's always good to dream be would Chris Drury be willing to make such a drastic move?
It's hard to say, highly unlikely would be my guess however anything is possible as Wayne Gretzky was traded.
