The 2024 All Star weekend has been deemed a success as many felt this was more about hockey and the sport rather than gimmicks and surfboards.
The weekend also gave hockey fans a chance to see the best all sitting together once again and showing off their talents.
It's quite high praise for McDavid as both men are the best in the NHL currently.
Both guys are faces of their franchises and have improved their game every year since they've been drafted.
Mathews has been an absolute machine for goals this year as he is already matched his total from last year of 40 through 46 games.
It seems that he is on a mission to achieve 70 goals and after securing his new deal with the Maple Leafs which will keep him with the team for another four years after this season.
It seems the weight has been removed from his shoulders and now, he has his sole focus on scoring as much as possible and trying to bring the Stanley Cup home to Toronto.
McDavid on the other hand has been recovering from an extremely slow start for his team as thru 43 games, he has scored twenty goals with 47 assists for 67 points and is a + 17.
His numbers are on the rise as his team has adapted to head coach Kris Knoblauch and Paul Coffey's systems.
No matter the teams they play for, most hockey players hold mutual respect between one another as they showcase their talents to the fans.
