Rick Bowness becomes oldest NHL coach to win playoff game

It was a wild game in Winnipeg as The Jets took on the Colorado Avalanche. The final score was 7-6 in favor of The Jets which put head coach Rick bonus as the oldest head coach in NHL history to win a playoff game.

The 69-year-old head coach who is in his second season with The Jets and his second go around with the team as he coached the prior edition of the Jets before to leaving to Arizona. He has had modest success in the playoffs in his career as Bowness took the Boston Bruins in 1991-1992 to the conference final and took the Dallas Stars in 2019-2020 to the Stanley Cup finals to lose to the Lightning.

This season, he has led The Jets to a record of 52-24-6 for 110 points the most he has ever had in his career and this edition of The Jets will be quite competitive in the playoffs as they have not shown any signs of slowing down especially with their goaltender Connor Hellebuyck.

It was also mentioned that the Jets 36-0 when it comes to scoring four goals or more in this season which gives them an undefeated record.
This series will certainly be a testament to the goaltenders as both teams are equally strong in their offence and defence.
