The Carolina Hurricanes stole game four round two of the Stanley Cup Playoffs versus the New York Rangers. This game was hard to watch since there is no doubt that New York Rangers fans were rooting hard for their team to take home another win and while they remained hopeful, fate was not on their side this time.

In an interview with Peter Laviolette, sports New York asks about the Carolina Hurricanes powerplay and if he thought that it was bound to happen eventually or if it was just fate intervening. Laviolette states that he thinks their powerplay was still good despite the outcome of the game. Laviolette says that the powerplay shot had ice and that it was a top corner shot but he admits that there was a lot going on in the center of the ice.

Despite the New York Rangers best efforts tonight, they fell to the Carolina Hurricanes. I think both teams played well, and I think despite the loss the New York Rangers still have a lot to be proud of and I still believe against all odds that the New York Rangers can pull through and continue to advance in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. I think that sometimes you have to keep shooting your shot and be so admit about getting what you want that the universe has no choice but to hand it to you. I think the Rangers will continue to do that and continue to give it their best until the end.

While it is sad that their winning streak came to an end, it is still not the end of the Stanley Cup Playoffs and there is plenty more hockey to be played before the New York Rangers can throw in the towel. Congratulations Hurricanes on your win. We will get them next time New York Rangers.
