With the season set to resume, Peter Laviolette explained a new experience he had during this year's All Star game.

Over the past 22 years, Rangers head coach Peter Laviolette has coached many players and has been the bench boss for six NHL organizations and through all that time, he experienced something new while being the head coach of Team McDavid during this year's All-Star game in Toronto.
As the festivities ended, he explained to the media, as he has never coached most of these players before which is a first for him.
«It was [cool], just being on with different players completely was good. I thought the mix was good. It mixes it up with the players, too. I think it keeps it fresh. Guys you typically don't see that much of you might be on the same team, you might be on the same line.»
As the Rangers now turn back to the season, many hope that Laviolette and his team will turn things around and get back on the winning track that will help solidify their position as the leader of the metropolitan division and a playoff lock.
The Rangers will be facing off against the Colorado Avalanche during their game on February 5th.
Game time will be 7:00 PM eastern.
