The New York Rangers have a mentor in Jonathan Quick. He's stepped into show players such as Matt Rempe the ropes and guided him. Now with Rempe in Hartford, he has opted to take Brett Berard under his wing.

Berard has found himself in the New York Rangers lineup and hasn't come out since his callup on November 24th.

He's been a stalwart on the Rangers' third line with Will Cuylle, and Filip Chytil yet we never heard until now how influential Quick has been on the prospect.

Berard was asked by Mollie Walker how things are in the NHL, being new to the Rangers locker room. During the interview, he mentioned how big of a help Quick was to make him feel welcome and educate him on the ins and outs of the room dynamics.

Through 16 games in the AHL, Berard has recorded seven goals, six assists and 13 points as he's had a hot start to the season.

With Jonathan Quick's help, Berard's found an ease of comfort integrating into the Rangers lineup this season.

Berard is an explosive young forward who could provide a lot for the Rangers offensively if Peter Laviolette decides to insert him into the lineup.

The depth forward is making $867K and is in year two of three of his ELC deal signed with the New York Rangers last season.

This season he's played 15 games and has scored 5 points( 3 G, 2 A) with a -8 rating in New York.

His career in the NHL has only begun this season and he's showed no signs of stopping his production yet.

Could Brett Berard, like Will Cuylle be part of the youth movement in New York?
