Artemi Panarin Explains Reasoning For Not Attending All-Star Game
In earning a selection for the second consecutive season, Igor Shesterkin becomes the sixth Rangers goaltender (Henrik Lundqvist, Gilles Villemure, Ed Giacomin, Gump Worsley, Chuck Rayner) to obtain All-Star Game honors in back-to-back seasons.
It was expected that Artemi Panarin was supposed to be the main player to represent the Rangers for the All-Star game.
Artemi Panarin however, says in a statement through the Rangers that he can't go to the All-Star Game this year because he and his wife are expecting a second child.
It's incredible news to hear from the Breadman!
All the best to him and his wife!
