Rangers Are Eager To Play At Home In Front Of Home Crowd!
There's something about playing in the world's most famous arena that gets everyone's heart pumping for joy.
Maybe playing in the greatest, big city in the world with celebrities in the crowd, an electrifying atmosphere.
Whatever the case may be, tomorrow night's game, against the Arizona Coyotes, is going to be explosive.
Sharing the same stadium as the New York Knicks since 1968, who will be opening their season October 25th, Madison Square Garden has been home to some of the most memorable events in history.
The New York Knicks clinched their first NBA title in 1970, with the famous Willis Reed, running through the tunnel, after a leg injury that should have sidelined him.
The New York Rangers, led by Mark Messier, ended a 54 year drought to win their fourth championship, and first in the garden in the seventh game.
American singer, Billy Joel, said this about the Garden:
Madison Square Garden is the center of the universe as far as I'm concerned. It has the best acoustics, the best audiences, the best reputation, and the best history of great artists who have played there. It is the iconic, holy temple of rock and roll for most touring acts and, being a New Yorker, it holds a special significance to me.
Beautifully said. The Rangers will play their first game at home tomorrow night, against the Arizona Coyotes.
