New York Rangers defenseman issues concerning statement following a brutal 6-2 loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday night for their first game back from the holiday.

The New York Rangers have finally returned from their holiday break, and faced off against the Lightning for their first game back and unfortunately took another embarrassing 6-2 loss.

The Rangers had a very troubling night, as they were trailing 5-1 midway through the second period and were forced to pull their superstar goaltender Igor Shesterkin after letting up 5 goals on just 14 shots.

The flood gates have opened and the puck trickles through #NYR Igor Shesterkin for a 5-1 Lightning lead. Brayden Point credited with his second of the game, a PPG.

Jonathan Quick comes in for Shesterkin, who gave up five goals on 14 shots.

However, following the game Rangers defenseman K'Andre Miller issued a statement that isn't quite sitting right with fans as we all witnessed something other than what he stated.

K'Andre Miller: «We've all been in games where we're losing. I don't think just because we're losing in a game, doesn't mean we've lost the game.

That's something this group maybe has lost a little bit. That pushback. I liked our game, I liked what we did overall. I think it's just we can bring a little bit more.»

Just a terrible statement to have after a blowout 6-2 loss, considering the Rangers season has plummeted to an all time low, as they are now officially sitting in last place of the Metro division along with sitting at 25 place in the league.

The Rangers currently have a 16-18-1 record throughout 36 games, and with the way things are going Chris Drury needs to make a change now.
