Rangers center Filip Chytil offered a positive spin on a disastrous stretch as the Rangers lost another game to the reigning Stanley Cup champions the Florida Panthers 5-3.

His opinion matters and has given another perspective on what the team should do in order to turn things around and get back onto a winning path.

«We've got to build on the game, clean up the things that cost us the game. It's a lost four points on this trip, so it's not that positive,» Chytil said, per The Athletic. «We have another day tomorrow and we play a game in three days, so we've got to focus on that now.»

After roaring out of the gate with the 12-4-0 record, the rangers have gone on and unmitigated collapse that has not been seen by the organization in its history and now holds a record of 16-19-1 and has only won two games during their stretch.

These results are unbelievable to think of considering the Rangers were the best team in the NHL last year and had the most wins in their entire history at 55.

Chytil Working hard on his game and trying to give it all he can for the Rangers as he has scored seven goals with 13 points while working his way back from major injury.

«I felt great,» Chytil said after the Panthers game, per the New York Post. «I felt great playing the puck a lot.

We had a lot of chances, I had a lot of chances. Goals decide the game and that's the thing I'm working on every day.

Today it could be more than one, but it's just something I have to work on.»

Rumors have been rampant across the Rangers as the team continues to twist in the wind with every loss they have sustained which includes the notion of firing head coach Peter Laviolette.

It appears for the time being the Rangers will hold their coach with them but it's safe to say that patience will run out eventually and the team will need to figure out a way to string some wins together and help dig themselves out of this hole even if it means a long way from the playoffs.

The next couple of weeks will be crucial for the Rangers season as the March trade deadline approaches and general manager Chris Drury will be faced with a very tough decision on whether to blow up the team or attempt to retool it for next year.
