Rangers Remain In First Place With Big Win From Key Contributors
Four games on the road, with one left on the docket!
The New York Rangers are on fire, with a 6-2 record, winners of four straight, and sitting pretty in first place in the Metropolitan Division after defeating the Vancouver Canucks.
That's despite six of their first eight games on the road.
This is a collective effort of team cohesion taking effect, and an understanding of the system of head coach, Peter Laviolette.
Even though he believes the team did not play their best game against the Canucks, and they didn't honestly, there was still some great things to take from the game:
It wasn't our best effort but I think we can take some things we did good away from the game and finish the road trip off the right way.
The full interview can be watched here.
The road is not done.
The Rangers still have one more road game before they head back home for a single home game, only to return back on the road after that.
They will attempt to make it five straight, and go 5-0 in this road stretch when they next face off against the Winnipeg Jets Monday, October 30, at the Canada Life Centre, in Winnipeg.
Milestone alert!
With the win last night, The Rangers are 12 wins away from the franchise 3,000th win!
