It was a tough game for Rangers center Filip Chytil as he went down to an upper body injury after a collision from his own player Rangers defenseman K'Andre Miller two leads the question who will replace him in the upcoming games?

It appears there are several choices of players on the roster and who could come up from Hartford who could help the Rangers back fill the position until he is ready to play again. The most likely choice would be to slide Johnny Brodzinski to the third line as he has played seven games this season. Head coach Peter Laviolette feels he has good speed and could be a good two-way player for the Rangers as he had played 57 games last season scoring six goals and 13 assists for 19 points.

Bo Groulx who is 24 years old and has played 65 games of NHL experience could be an option for Laviolette as he has 10 points through 12 games which includes five goals for the Hartford Wolf Pack. Having him called up could be a logical choice as he would be able to go down to the AHL team without any waiver recall. He has shown good defensive skills and also scored eighteen goals two years ago in the AHL.

Lastly, Laviolette may turn back to Matt Rempe as he would give the team that physical edge and size especially in the bottom 6. He too would not require waivers to come up through the American Hockey League and he's also familiar with the Rangers as he has played with their system for over 3/4 of a season. He would also be on the short list to come back to the Rangers.

At this moment there doesn't seem to be a timeline for Chytil's return but hopefully it will not be long and he can return to the lineup as he tries to get his legs back and find some traction with this season.
