Mcdavid puts on a show at 2024 All Star skills
There was a sense of change needed for the NHL All Star weekend as many fans and players felt that last years was not what the fans were hoping for in Florida.
With the All-Star game and weekend back in Canada and hosted by the city of Toronto it was expected that the fans would see hockey back to its roots and the players showing off their talents.
The 2024 skills competition did not disappoint as Oilers superstar Connor McDavid put on show in front of the fans.
While facing stiff competition between players like Pasternak, Matthews, Nylander and MacKinnon, McDavid rose to the top winning 4 events along with the overall title giving him $1,000,000.
As the competition ended, McDavid was last to try to beat Cale Makar who was in the lead.
After a few stumbles, McDavid turned on his jets and took the competition with a time of 40.6 seconds beating Makar by a full 3 seconds.
it was a fun competition to watch, and it was great to see the players showing off their talents and giving the fans the full hockey experience.
The final event is the All-Star game which will begin at 3:00 PM tomorrow February 3rd.
