NHL insider confirms Patrick Kane will return to the New York Rangers
It appears that Patrick Kane could get his wish to return to New York, as NHL Insider Frank Seravalli stated recently.
Kane had felt he didn't do his best in New York and would like to return should the chance arise.
Prior to signing with the Detroit Red Wings, he would leave much to be desired with his performance in New York, suffering a hip injury.
I'm hearing that Patrick Kane will be a NY Ranger on July 1st drury and his agent have been working away at agreeing to a contact and it's progressing very well. Kane will be coming back to NY. #NYR
Since the hip-resurfacing surgery, he had a return to form in Detroit, many Rangers fans were jealous of.
He scored 47 points in 51 games, on the top line with Dylan Lark and Alex DeBrincat in Detroit.
Now it appears GM Chris Drury believes in second chances are he is likely to be signed come July 1st.
But the juicy details of a contract signing haven't been released of course, Pat Brisson, Kane's agent has been diligently working on a means of a contract and it appears that progress is significant.
Kane played 51 games in Detroit in 2023-2024, scoring 47 points(20 G, 27 A) and looked like Showtime of old at times.
It's Showtime on Broadway yet again!
