Many pundits and NHL players felt that the 2024 All Star weekend was a raving success in Toronto.
Oilers centre Connor McDavid who had his hand in designing some of the festivities for the All-Star weekend Brought the game back to its roots and gave the fans a true taste of what hockey is all about.
With the announcement of the Olympics and a four-country tournament happening between 2025 and 2026 some felt that an All-Star weekend may not happen.
But that appears to be not the case as the NHL released news today that the All-Star weekend will be happening in Long Island New York.
It's important to note that the New York area including Long Island has a rich hockey culture which will lead to another quality All Star weekend.
In my opinion, I feel the NHL and their ownership will continue to choose major cities within the league to help stimulate growth and help grow the game amongst the younger fans.
