For the first time in NHL history, Utah will become home of a National Hockey League franchise, as the Arizona Coyotes were sold to Ryan and Ashley Smith of the Smith Entertainment Group.
However, as of right now no official re-branding has been done, there has been a few potential nicknames that have emerged but for the time being the team will just feature «Utah» on their jerseys until a nickname is finalized.
Earlier this month Ryan Smith made an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, revealing that the franchise has narrowed it down to four potential names - with Yeti and Mammoth being a pair of the possibilities.
